Currently, geopolitical risks are rising in the shipping industry. The “dark fleet,” which illegally transfers Russian crude oil to tankers for transport to sanctioned countries, poses not only a political threat but also an urgent issue for Japan’s shipping industry. It carries the risk that their operated vessels could become targets of OFAC sanctions.
The talks by speakers from Lloyd’s List, the world’s leading shipping publication, and Lloyd’s List Intelligence, which is equipped with data capable of tracking the dark fleet, are not to be missed. I will also be attending.
