Monaco-based dry bulk operator CTM announced on August 1, 2024, that it has added a new 63,500 DWT Ultramax bulk carrier, M/V Aquadonna, to its fleet. The Aquadonna was delivered on August 1, 2024, from the Imabari Shipbuilding yard.
The company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Carlos Pena, and Captain Marco Parodi from the operations management team attended the naming ceremony for the vessel.

The vessel has been chartered under a long-term contract with a Japanese shipowner and will be part of the Supramax RSA pool. This addition aims to modernize CTM’s fleet and continue providing the highest standard of service to its customers.
The name M/V Aquadonna holds special significance for CTM. This is the third vessel with the same name under its management, with the first being a second-hand ship purchased and named by the company’s CEO’s grandfather, the late John M. Carras, in 1997. The previous two vessels were Capesize ships built in 1995 and 2005, with the last Aquadonna leaving CTM’s management in 2022.
Currently, CTM manages over 110 bulk carriers, ranging from Handysize to Newcastlemax, under its commercial and technical management.
In 2023, the Supramax RSA celebrated its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, the Supramax RSA has managed more than 170 vessels, generated over $2.2 billion in revenue, transported over 191 million tons of cargo, completed over 3,300 fixtures, and achieved more than 167,000 vessel operating days.

モナコに拠点を置くドライバルカー運航大手のCTMは２０２４年８月１日、同社の船隊に新たに63,500重量トンのUltramax型バルクキャリアー、M/V Aquadonnaを追加したと発表した。Aquadonnaは2024年8月1日に今治造船所から引き渡された。
弊社の最高商務責任者であるカルロス・ペナ（Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Carlos Pena）氏と、運航管理チームからマルコ・パロディ船長（Captain Marco Parodi）が、この船の命名式に出席した。
この船はCTMが日本船主と長期用船契約を結び、Supramax RSAプールに投入される。この追加により、ＣＴＭの船隊の近代化を進め、今後も顧客に最高水準のサービスを提供し続けることを目指す。
M/V Aquadonnaという名前はCTMにとって特別な意味を持つ。これは同名で管理する3隻目の船であり、最初の船は1997年に当社CEOの祖父である故ジョン・M・カラス（John M. Carras）氏が購入し命名した中古船だった。以前の2隻の船は、それぞれ1995年と2005年に建造されたケープサイズ船で、最後のAquadonnaは2022年にＣＴＭの管理を離れた。
現在、CTMはコマーシャル、技術管理のもとハンディサイズからニューカッスルマックスまで、110隻以上のバルクキャリアーを船舶管理している。
2023年にSupramax RSAは設立10周年を迎えた。この10年間で、Supramax RSAは170隻以上の船を管理し、22億ドルを超える収益を上げ、1億9,100万トン以上の貨物を輸送し、3,300回以上の取引を締結し、延べ16万7,000日以上の船舶の稼働を達成した。
