Maritime AI company Windward has entered into a sale agreement with the US investment firm FTV VIII, valued at approximately $270 million (£216 million). FTV VIII is an investment entity focused on backing rapidly growing companies in the technology and services sectors. The acquisition will be executed through Octopus UK Bidco Limited, a subsidiary of FTV VIII. As a result, Windward will become a fully owned subsidiary of FTV VIII, positioning the company to leverage the growth capital and support from FTV VIII to fuel its further development.
