The Greece-based shipowner, Safe Bulkers (Corporate Office in Athens), announced on July 29, 2024, that its net profit for the first half of 2024 was $52.89 million, up 52% from the same period last year. Dr. Loukas Barmparis, President, commented on the favorable performance: “The dry market was robust in the April-June 2024 period compared to 2023, and the implementation of the new integrated management system compliant with the new quality standards of DryBMS, as well as the additional orders for two new Phase 3 vessels, contributed to this success.”
